Today marks the kick off of our 2025 Summer Operating Season at Riverview Park and Zoo! 

*PLEASE NOTE: While the playground and zoo area reopened late April, we continue clean up efforts to remove fallen branches and debris as a result of the ice storm.  Unfortunately, the miniature train ride, splash pad and park areas, including the lower level picnic area and shelters, will be open in time for the long weekend.  For safety reasons, we ask visitors to respect all barricades and closure signage posted.  Subscribe to our socials or visit our website ahead of your visit for any alert banners to be posted with status updates.

Summer Operating Season (Victoria Day Saturday to Labour Day Monday)

• Park grounds* and zoo area are open from 8:30 a.m. to dusk
• Park & Zoo Office is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Guest Services / Gift Shop is open daily, Monday & Tuesday 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Wednesday to Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Miniature Train Ride* is open daily, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. - both maintenance and weather permitting
• Splash pad* is open daily, 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. - both maintenance and weather permitting
• Ice cream, chips and candy can be purchased from the Gift Shop during open hours
