Invasive Species Workshop - This event has already occurred
Event Details:
The Invading Species Awareness Program Ambassadors will be partnering with the Peterborough Zoo August 9th for an invasive species outreach event from 9:30 am-12:30 pm. The ISAP Ambassadors will be delivering an educational talk on some of the nuisance species the Zoo has on site and what you can do to help their prevention of new introductions. Management of invasive plants for property owners will also be highlighted. Stop by between 9:30 am -12:30 pm next Tuesday to learn more about invading species and take home some guides to help you identify or mange invading species. The Ambassadors and Zoo staff and volunteers will be identifying some of the species on sight and reviewing/demonstrating management options. If you’re a student in secondary or post-secondary school, looking for volunteer experience or building your resume skills for a career in the environment please come by to learn more about how you can become an ISAP Ambassador.
